How did they make the list? Cancelations can be complicated and fall under 2 categories when a network or streaming service announces that they’re not going to make another season of a show:

Cancelled-ENDING (the story will end, finish current or upcoming filmed last season)
Cancelled (the show was not renewed, unexpected, story is left open-ended)

There are also some more recent circumstances that leave us in limbo, either because of COVID-19 delays, scheduling conflicts or hold-ups due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, where the answer is simply “don’t know”. We will not consider them cancelled… yet.
